  I was raised as a JW and never really thought much about it until I was about 60ish. Then, for some reason the doubts began to become major issues. I had put so much on the 'back burner' over those years.

  I think the reason I had not really thought much about religion, I went to school, uni, got married (JW pioneer) and then devoted all my energies to my career. I just bumbled along in the truth. Once I was mostly retired I had time to think and research. Finding this site was a life changer. However, all my family and my wife's family were uber-JW's so I guess I just became a PIMO.

  I wish I had found the truth about the truth 50 or 60 years ago. I would have had different life but not necessarily happier. Still as happy with Sis England as when we first met.

  a pioneer sister, from a neighboring congregation, told us back in 1972, the visiting co, carey w. barber was working their territory and went in to ali's training camp.

  ali was working out in the ring while barber preached to him.

  the 'campaign' was the peace and security book.. .

  Ali was represented by JW lawyer Hayden Covington when Ali was called up for National Service (draft). Covington lost the case and it was rumoured that he was actually disfellowshipped for his connection with Ali, not for his boozing as was circulated at the time.

  Still no U turn on vax mandates for all schools

  you still have to be fully vaccinated to attend any theocratic schools.

  elders and ministerial servants have their kingdom ministry school every year, the cobe of every congregation has to check that everyone is fully vaccinated.

  after the school everyone will ask any bothers who were not there why not?

  You still have to be fully vaccinated to attend any theocratic schools.

  Great idea! This should be extended to Regional Conventions, Circuit Assemblies, Weekly Meetings, D2D and Shepherding visits.

  Today is 6/9 (june 9) box dates are (Nov 6 ) 9/6

  I still don't understand. Today is June 9 or 6/9 as you would call it.

  However, I thought November was the 11th month so why do you put (Nov 6) 9/6 and not 11/6?

  Why infant baptism in Jehovah's Witnesses?

  "adult baptism was not simply a question of religious dogma; it was an issue of power.

  if baptism was delayed until adulthood​—thus allowing a person to make a decision based on faith—​some might not get baptized at all.

  and individuals not baptized would, at least to a degree, remain outside the control of the church.

  The Borg praises people from dunking their kids as young as 6.
  I dont see how that's any different from infant baptism.

  For anyone that doesn't agree with that, how young would a child have to be in order to be considered 'an infant'? I went to the 'Infants' school from age 5 to 7. I then went to 'Junior' school from age 7 to 11.

  I would say that the org doesn't baptise BABIES, but it sure baptises INFANTS.

  That's a very interesting list, knew quite a few of them.

  Albert Storer, Paul Presland from the 1970's I guess.

  Philip Rose we had just a few years ago also David Rastall about the same time. He retired back to Rochester, I recall he had an accident, fell off a ladder. His son is a Director or whatever of IBSA.

  Richard Cullen and Colin Conradie. G Birchley (can't remember his first name) I think he was an elder in Newark back in the day, used to do temporary CO work. Michael Purbrick was never liked in our congregation, everyone glad to see the back of him.

  David Algar was on CO visit at our congregation the week we got married and came to the wedding. Great guy. He also did the dedication of a KH we were at some years ago.

  Another CO I remember was John Flack. He stayed with us a couple of times. Never hung around after the meeting, back home and changed into his jeans, watching TV. Westerns fan. I can't remember what his wife was called but we could smell the Chanel No. 5 for weeks after they left.
